About

Actress, Artist, Quilter, Writer, Grandaughter, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Party Girl, Funny Girl, Loyal Friend, Business Woman, "Smithlike" Researcher, Tiara Wearer, Solo Explorer, Bourbon Drinker, Deep Sea Fisher, French Macaron Eater, Shoe Collector, and Wanna-Be Ultralight Airplane Pilot who's been blogging about all of the above for three years now.  The quote below also describes me quite accurately:
"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles"
Audrey Hepburn

I don't believe in "Fine" China . . . now that's not to say that I'm opposed to silver, crystal, and Limoges.  It simply means that I believe every day is an occasion.

Does that mean that every meal should be eaten in a candle-lit dining room?  Heavens no!  I'm a southern girl who likes to feel bluegrass and red clay between her toes.

Toast of the Town is a way for me to document and share this adventure as well as the lessons learned, recipes botched, shopping bags filled, highballs drained, and dirt roads less traveled that go along with it.

My friend Jessica calls me "Little Miss Bibb" and some people say that I am a cross between Bridget Jones & Carrie Bradshaw, so there's some of that too.

"I have had a delightful exchange with Ashley, who possesses some special skill. Not many people have coaxed me to write for them, and I sent her a nice piece within a week of her request. Her future in business seems to glimmer."

“Ashley Smith is probably the funniest human being I have ever met. She is fiercely loyal to those that she loves, and knows how to be a true friend.”
