. . . Tastes Pretty Good To Me
a
I've already gotten everything that I really wanted for my birthday - and I'm not talking gifts!
a
On Wednesday night, I kicked off a week of festivities at Miss J's. If you missed the Joseph Ribkoff Sample Sale - you simply missed out. I did not and sweet Jessica (Walden) remembered how much I love horsey hummus and wrapped some up for me. GREAT FRIENDS . . . check!
a
On Friday, I pulled a Celine Dion & "drove all night." This Nashville bound trek was quite a feat for "Miss Daisy" but worth every panic stricken, "I'm going to die" minute . . . the weekend to follow was filled with the sweet LAUGHTER that I had asked for . . . check!
a
Birthday Eve began with a little puppy love and ended with a "3" way! Ha-ha '-) Gotcha . Perhaps I should explain . . .
a
The Gentleman and I enjoyed Steak Scramble & Huevos Cubano at Fido, an adorable pet store turned coffee house. And later on, he whisked me off to a most romantic dinner at Midtown Cafe - where I had Veal "3" Ways: Piccata, Oscar & Saltimbocca. And I must say . . . that my "3" way was utterly divine.
a
Sunday, I had the perfect "Happy Birthday Baby."
a
It was a rather unconventional one for me. There were no feather boas, no karaoke, no sparklers or fanfare. But I can say, with absolute confidence, that it will always be one of my very favorites.
a
I opened the most thoughtful gifts, ate "birthday queso" from SATCO, drank draft beer, watched football and laughed again & again & again . . . at everything from the big burley man who extended his pinkie finger every time he took a big ol' gulp of his beer (jest like he was havin' tea with the queen) to the quite flattering attention that we were both getting from the other patrons (it was like we were prom King & Queen).
a
But we weren't THE Toast of Broadway Brewhouse . . . No sir, that goes to the chili and a little glass of heaven they call the Bushwacker. It's a Frosty - all grown up. You know, like the little girl with the red pigtails has a wild side. The whole thing was like a gourmet & grown-up version of the classic Wendy's pairing.
a
I checked DRAMA & PASSION off the list on Monday. Play rehearsal at Theatre Macon was followed with "Readings by Michelle" on Cherry Street with Misty (Churchwell), Brooke (Futch), Amber (Whitley), Erin (Ferrell), Katy (Bailey) & Betsey (Brindger).
a
What about FAMILY? You ask. Well you should know by now that I always save the best for last. The Toast of this week's festivities, was listening to my mom help little Tucker sing Happy Birthday to me on the phone. Check.
